TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE PURCHASE AND USE OF ELECTRONIC TICKETS FOR THE PANATHENAIC STADIUM

Preamble

The Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro), managed by the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC), is a historic monument and one of Greece's most significant landmarks of sporting and cultural heritage.

These Terms and Conditions govern the issuance and use of electronic tickets, as well as visitors' access to and use of the Panathenaic Stadium.

By purchasing or using an electronic ticket, the visitor confirms that they have read, understood and unconditionally accepted these Terms and Conditions.

Article 1 – Scope of Application

1. These Terms and Conditions apply to every purchase and use of an electronic ticket for the Panathenaic Stadium.
2. Electronic tickets are issued through the official Panathenaic Stadium website or through an authorised ticketing partner appointed by the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC).
3. These Terms and Conditions apply in conjunction with the Panathenaic Stadium Visitor Regulations and the Privacy Policy.

Article 2 – Ticket Entitlements and Visitor Services

1. A General Admission Ticket grants access to the Panathenaic Stadium and all visitor areas open to the public on the date of the visit.
2. Where available, the General Admission Ticket includes: a) admission to the Panathenaic Stadium; b) admission to the Panathenaic Stadium Museum; c) use of the official Audio Guide in the available languages.
3. Access to guided tours, educational programmes, special exhibitions, temporary events or other visitor services may require advance booking or the purchase of a separate ticket.
4. The availability of the Museum, the Audio Guide or any other supplementary visitor service may be temporarily limited or suspended for operational, technical or maintenance reasons.
5. The temporary unavailability of a supplementary visitor service shall not entitle visitors to a refund, provided that access to the main visitor experience remains available.
6. The HOC reserves the right to modify visitor routes, the Audio Guide content and languages, or any visitor service in order to improve operations, visitor experience or for maintenance purposes.

Article 3 – Admission and Visitor Conduct

1. Admission to the Panathenaic Stadium is subject to the presentation of a valid ticket and compliance with these Terms and Conditions, the

Visitor Regulations, on-site signage and the instructions of Stadium personnel.

1. Holders of reduced-price or complimentary tickets must present the required supporting documentation upon request. Failure to do so may result in payment of the applicable price difference or refusal of admission.
2. For safety and security reasons, visitors may be subject to security checks upon entry, in accordance with applicable legislation.
3. Visitors are not permitted to bring dangerous, sharp, flammable or any other objects that may endanger people, facilities or the monument.
4. Visitors are required to: a) follow the instructions of Stadium personnel; b) remain within the designated visitor areas; c) respect the historic and cultural significance of the Stadium; d) avoid causing damage or pollution to the monument or its facilities; e) refrain from disrupting the visit of other visitors.
5. In particular, the following are prohibited: a) climbing on or entering restricted areas; b) moving barriers, signs or protective equipment; c) throwing objects or littering; d) causing excessive noise or disturbance; e) consuming alcohol or using illegal substances; f) using bicycles, scooters, skateboards or similar vehicles, except mobility aids for persons with disabilities.
6. Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is permitted only in designated areas, where applicable and in accordance with Greek legislation.
7. Food and beverages may only be consumed in areas specifically designated for that purpose.
8. Animals are not permitted, with the exception of recognised assistance dogs accompanying persons with disabilities.
9. Minors must be accompanied and supervised by a parent, legal guardian, teacher or other responsible adult throughout their visit.
10. The HOC reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any visitor who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the instructions of Stadium personnel or whose behaviour endangers the safety of visitors, staff or the monument. In such cases, no refund shall be granted.

Article 4 – Restricted Access and Exceptional Circumstances

1. The Panathenaic Stadium is a historic monument and a venue for official ceremonies, sporting events, cultural activities and other special events.
2. The HOC reserves the right to modify opening hours, visitor routes or access to specific areas of the Stadium for reasons including, but not limited to: a) public safety and security; b) conservation or maintenance works;

c) official ceremonies or events; d) visits by dignitaries or official delegations; e) operational or technical requirements; f) adverse weather conditions; g) compliance with instructions issued by the competent public authorities.

1. Temporary closure of specific areas of the Stadium does not entitle visitors to a refund, provided that the main visitor experience remains available.
2. If the Stadium is fully closed on the date of the visit, visitors may be offered an alternative visit date or a refund, in accordance with the procedures announced by the HOC or the official ticketing platform.
3. Visitors must comply immediately with evacuation procedures and any emergency instructions issued by Stadium personnel or the competent authorities.

Article 5 – Photography and Filming

1. Photography and video recording for personal, private and non-commercial purposes are permitted, provided that they do not interfere with the operation of the Stadium, disturb other visitors or endanger the monument.
2. Professional or commercial photography, filming, advertising productions, television broadcasts, motion picture productions or any other commercial use of images requires the prior written approval of the Hellenic Olympic Committee and, where applicable, any additional approvals required by law.
3. The use of tripods, professional photographic equipment or any other equipment that may obstruct visitor circulation may be restricted or prohibited.
4. The operation of drones or any unmanned aerial vehicles within or above the Panathenaic Stadium is strictly prohibited unless prior written authorisation has been granted by the HOC and all required permissions have been obtained from the competent authorities.
5. Visitors must respect the privacy and personal data of other visitors and members of staff when taking photographs or recording videos.
6. The HOC reserves the right to restrict or prohibit photography and filming in specific areas or during official ceremonies, special events or whenever required for safety, security or conservation purposes.

Article 6 – Limitation of Liability

1. The Hellenic Olympic Committee makes every reasonable effort to ensure the safe operation of the Panathenaic Stadium and the uninterrupted availability of the electronic ticketing service.
2. The Hellenic Olympic Committee shall not be liable for temporary interruptions or technical failures affecting the ticketing platform due to maintenance, network failures, force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
3. The Hellenic Olympic Committee accepts no responsibility for the loss, theft or damage of visitors' personal belongings during their visit.
4. Visitors are responsible for taking reasonable care of their own safety and must comply with all safety instructions, on-site signage and directions given by Stadium personnel.
5. The Hellenic Olympic Committee shall not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from a visitor's failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions or with the instructions of authorised personnel.

Article 7 – Intellectual Property

1. The content of the official Panathenaic Stadium website, including but not limited to text, photographs, graphics, logos, trademarks, designs, audiovisual material and any other content, is protected by intellectual and industrial property laws.
2. No part of the website or its content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, published, modified or commercially exploited without the prior written consent of the Hellenic Olympic Committee or the relevant rights holder.
3. Access to the website or the purchase of an electronic ticket does not grant visitors any intellectual or industrial property rights.

Article 8 – Amendments to the Terms and Conditions

1. The Hellenic Olympic Committee reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions whenever necessary due to changes in legislation, operational requirements or visitor services.
2. Any amendments shall be published on the official Panathenaic Stadium website and shall apply to all purchases made after their publication.

Article 9 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction

1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece.
2. In the event of any dispute arising from the interpretation or implementation of these Terms and Conditions, the parties shall first seek to resolve the matter amicably.
3. If an amicable settlement cannot be reached, the Courts of Athens, Greece, shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
